CTS Integral foam dam (rim mounted)
No hot work required
To facilitate installation and removal, without the need for hot work, integral foam dams are an innovative solution. Which are installed by being directly bolted onto the rim of an floating roof.
Our designs are executed in carbon as well as stainless steel and have been extensively tested to meet the NFPA 11 standards. In addition our expertise has learned us to design the foam dam as closely as possible to the tank shell. Doing so we aim to assist our clients by reducing the time required to fill the dam with foam, further enhancing their storage tanks safety in regards to fire emergencies.
Often overlooked but a significant feature of using an integral foam dam is that it acts as an barrier, preventing any separation of waxy product and corrosion which leave the tank shell, to reach the floating roof’s carbon steel pontoon deck plates. Eliminating the corrosive impacts that they cause to a floating roof, improving its life-time.

A gauge pole is one of the more difficult positions, within a storage tank, to limit the emissions of. The required setup can vary greatly, depending on the stored product and tank build.
